About Pennies On Purpose
IN CLASSROOM FINANCIAL LITERACY EDUCATION
Pennies On Purpose started in 2017 by providing in classroom financial literacy education for Junior High and High School aged teens. Our mission was simple. We understood that financial education and basic life skills are no longer being taught in our nation’s schools. We began to partner with Middle Schools and High School’s (through grants and donations) in Shasta County Schools. We have successfully brought our training to classrooms throughout the Northstate including Shasta, Yreka and Siskiyou Counties and in 2022 have expanded to the Seattle area. Our goal is to expand to all fifty States!
On demand financial literacy education
In 2019 we received a grant to make our curriculum online via an online learning center. Our in classroom curriculum has been recorded and is available for purchase. There are two levels of age appropriate training available. course available. One for middle school and one for high school ages. Both levels include the five key foundations of financial literacy including the psychology of money, credit and debt, building a financial plan for the future, insurance, risks and taxes and of course savings and investing. Your child will have a stong money foundation that will last a lifetime!
We Have the Power to Impact The Financial Stability of Future Generations, and We’re Doing Something About It
It goes without saying that learning about financial literacy is important, as personal finance education provides our youth with the knowledge and skills to manage financial resources effectively for a lifetime of financial well-being. In the past 30 years financial education has left the classroom. Kids are leaving our schools without a basic finacial knowledge. Our mission is to bring this education back to the classroom and give future generations a leg up as they start their lives!
